I’m starting to get back into running a D&D Game again. I’ve assembled a group, I’ve been reading a pre-made adventure, and I’ve even bought the roll20 module. I think what I’ve learned is a couple of things, as to why I failed last time: Continue reading “Back in the Saddle”
Work For It
It’s funny how I go through phases with this. I think I set this site back up in January, and haven’t touched it since. You know, three posts within 4 days, then nothing until October. Every year I have a resolution that I want to write more, but if I wanted to write more, I would. It’s not like there’s a huge barrier of entry for me. I write here, I publish here, and that’s about it.
Either way, I’m here today to put words to something that I’ve been thinking about for the past few weeks. I look at my life over the last year, (Almost exactly the last year, actually), and I have realized that I kind of hit a downward spiral. I’m lucky that it didn’t impact me professionally, but my personal life was kind of a mess in a lot of ways. Much of the time and the aftermath during that time was focused on the events. What I missed. What I was so close to. What I could have had. Continue reading “Work For It”
Ten Years of Festivus
The next few weeks are going to be pretty busy. This weekend I’ll be travelling to California for a wedding. It’s literally in Yosemite… Or Yellowstone. I keep forgetting. Whichever one is in California. Once I get back I’m finally going to get to see Hamilton. I’m pretty stoked to be in the room where it happens. Continue reading “Ten Years of Festivus”
The Obligatory Manifesto
So, this is the part of the site where I write a post saying what type of content I’m going to generate, that I’m going to post here more often than I used to, etc. I’ve done this enough times and abandoned it enough times to be self aware enough to know what I’m doing, but not quite self aware enough to actually avoid repeating my clichés. Continue reading “The Obligatory Manifesto”
Hello world… Again!
This will be about the hundredth time I’ve restarted this site. I’ve found a webhost.that I like, so I’m stuck with them for at least a year. I really like how easy ssl was to setup (I had the frustration of trying to add it later… and directly via wordpress). Either way we’re back up and running with a snappy new webhost. I’m slowly going to be adding features to the site (I’ve got email for some fucking reason!).
I’m also going to go back and try to recover some of my old content. Some of it is definitely gone, but some of it is available on the way back machine. Which… Is really an honor. I wonder what else is on there? Maybe that’s worth a trip down memory lane. Maybe… Not.
